Alternative Fee Arrangements

In the past our fees have been calculated using mixed hourly and contingent fee arrangements, sliding scale percentages based on amount or time, bonuses, and multiples of hourly rates—keyed to results achieved. We have also handled matters on a percentage contingent fee basis, which slides upwards as the case progresses from pretrial, to trial, and appeal.  The percentage rates depend upon the complexity of the case, and amount involved.   Ordinarily, the client is responsible for the court costs outside of the attorney fees; however, under certain circumstances court costs can be advanced.

Alternative fee arrangements will not work in every case, and in some cases are prohibited by law.  However, such arrangements permit access to the system for many  who otherwise would be unable to obtain representation because of costs.  It further aligns the attorney with the client to achieve success.
