Construction Arbitration

    In 2000, we settled an account claim for $1.5 million being defended under a theory that liquidated damages applied.

Securities Offering Fraud

   In 1999 we obtained a judgment for over $1.25 million for a European investor in what was contended to be a completely offshore securities offering.

Securities Class Action

In 1997 we acted as class counsel for shareholder class. The case settled prior to trial.  The shareholder class received new shares valued at the amount of the claim.

Non-Competition Case

A 1997 trial to enforce a non-competition agreement against our client,  resulted in $1.1 million dollar judgment on our client's interference with contract counterclaim.  $900,000 of the award was for exemplary damages.

Corporate Governance / Takeover

A 1997 trial in a U.S. District Court involving a claim for corporate ownership resulted in  a  $240,000 judgment on our client's counterclaim for attorney fees.   The case was affirmed in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Securities Arbitration Case

In 1996, we obtained an arbitration award against  brokerage firm A.G. Edwards for aiding a trustee's breach of fiduciary duty and its failure to supervise a broker.  The arbitration panel awarded $1.4 million award to our trust beneficiary clients. The award was confirmed in a district court.

Personal Injury

In 1996 we obtained a settlement of $560,000 for an employee a slip and fall case.

Accounting Malpractice

In 1996 we obtained a favorable settlement of an accounting malpractice claim within months of filing suit.  A confidentiality agreement prohibits disclosure of the terms.
